Compliance Regulations
Regulatory Compliance
Staying compliant with the new changes to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP) regulations that concern electronic records archival is a serious challenge for organizations of all sizes.
Specifically, new FRCP changes include requirements such as:
- Electronic communications must be preserved in a non-alterable, non-rewritable, non-erasable format.
- Organizations must be able to automatically verify the quality and accuracy of the archiving process.
- Email, IM and other forms of e-data must be fully indexed and searchable.
- Emails, IM and other forms of e-data must be preserved for up to seven years.
- When e-data is requested during legal proceedings, the required retrieval time is "immediate."
